Revelation 20:4-6

I read these verses today. Very interesting. By the way it is written, it sounds like anyone martyred during the Tribulation will live 1000 years, during the thousand year reign with Christ.

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

See the part bolded? It litterally says, they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Does this mean they lived for a thousand years? I do not know. Sounds like something from a fantasy book doesn’t it?

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.

The rest of the dead lived not again until thousand years was over. Hmm.. this probably talking about every dead soul before the Tribulation, believer and non-believer. And “This is the first resurrection” makes it sound like there will be more “raise people from the dead” events.

6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Another verse (6) that says these people will reign a thousand years.

Something to think about.
